Our new, family run, comfortable house is in a quiet sunny location on the edge of the forest. It is only five minutes walk to the lake and bathing beach.There are so many enjoyable activities to choose from in summer, from lazy days at the lakeside for those who prefer a more sedate holiday, to canyon rafting for the more adventurous. Obertraun is the perfect place to relax in the summer sun. There are so many wonderful views in the Salzkammergut, here are just a few   

Obertraun is situated on the south eastern shore of Lake Hallstatt. It is the ideal starting point for numerous activities, both in summer and winter, including paragliding, rambling, cycling, walking and skiing. It is an unspoilt summer holiday destination, making it the ideal base for touring the culture of the local area or exploring the many footpaths leading along the lake, rivers and mountains. The world famous village of Hallstatt is only four kilometres away and the imperial town of Bad Ischl is also close by.
