Our new, family run, comfortable house is in a quiet sunny location on the edge of the forest. It is only five minutes walk to the lake and bathing beach. Our newly refurbished rooms all have modern en-suite bathrooms and tea and coffee making facilities. Breakfast can be taken in our breakfast room or in good weather on the breakfast room balcony, both with a magnificent view over the lake to the famous town of Hallstatt. We have a south facing garden to relax in and car parking spaces are available. For the comfort and safety of our guests, Haus Veronika is a no smoking bed and breakfast property.

The price per person per night sharing a double room, with breakfast is from 27.30 Euro during low season. Single occupancy and single night surcharges are applicable.

Obertraun is situated on the south eastern shore of Lake Hallstatt. It is the ideal starting point for numerous activities, both in summer and winter, including paragliding, rambling, cycling, walking and skiing. It is an unspoilt summer holiday destination, making it the ideal base for touring the culture of the local area or exploring the many footpaths leading along the lake, rivers and mountains. The world famous village of Hallstatt is only four kilometres away and the imperial town of Bad Ischl is also close by.

The Dachstein - Krippenstein ski area includes over 30km of off piste skiing, from easy to extreme and is included on the Dachstein-West ski region lift pass which covers an area of over 140km of pistes. The Krippenstein Cable car is a five minute drive from Haus Veronika. The Dachstein-West region is 20 minutes drive from Obertraun.
