Our cozy Bed & Breakfast has three double en-suite bedrooms, one with balcony and fantastic lake view. We are situated in the heart of the Austrian Lake District, The Salzkammergut. There are  many activities for people of all ages in both summer and winter. For the adventurous, maybe you would like to try paragliding or white water rafting? Perhaps relaxing at the lakeside or going for a leisurely swim is more your thing. There are endless footpaths or mountain bike trails for you to explore.
There's a good variety of bars and restaurants in Obertraun. The Haifischbar, is a popular bar/disco that attracts many people. The local pizzeria is only a few minutes away. It is one of the best places in Obertraun to eat
The Hallstättersee is one of the deepest lakes in Upper Austria. In summer the water temperature can quite easily reach 25° C, a perfect temperature for swimming. The mountains surrounding Obertraun are magnificent. There are many footpaths throughout them where you can walk and find fantastic views such as the one on the right.
Skiing and snowboarding are two of the most popular winter sports in the world and can be done right here in Obertraun. The Krippenstein is the  biggest free-ride arena in Europe. From the high-up rocky ridges down to the forests, the varied outdoor terrain offers ideal conditions including a vertical drop of 1500 m. This terrain excites all international freeriders and thrill-seekers looking for freedom beyond all limits. Those who head for a sporting challenge may venture the 11km of downhill run, well groomed and with snow guaranteed. Finally, venturesome spirits may push their limits and feel the freedom when attacking a total of 30 km of off-piste.
